HOW TO MEASURE A EURO-CYLINDER FOR ABS SNAP SECURE

Euro Cylinders are supplied in a number of different lengths and offsets. For this reason it is important that you are fitting the correct size cylinder for your door.

Measurement A - Measure from one end of the cylinder to the middle of the central screw hole (e.g. 40mm). This will be the internal side

Measurement B – Measure from the other end to the middle of the central screw hole (e.g. 50mm). This will be the external side.
This would be a INT40/50 EXT cylinder (90mm in length).
(it is possible to measure the cylinder in the door, however to obtain a more accurate measurement you may prefer to remove the cylinder to measure it (see below on how to do this)).

How to remove and replace a Euro Cylinder

Removal
Unscrew the fixing screw (usually a cross head - this is located halfway up the central lock strip – on the door edge, directly inline with the bottom of the euro cylinder.
Put the key in one side, it does not matter which side.
Put pressure on the other key hole.
Turn the key one way and if the cylinder does not come straight out turn the key the other way – the    cylinder should slide out.

Replacement
Insert the key into the cylinder and turn so that the black cam is in line with the cylinder body.
Slide the cylinder into its hole in the handle, and through the lock centre casing.
Position so that the hole in the euro cylinder can be seen through the fixing hole in the central lock strip.
Screw in the securing screw (do not over-tighten).
Check lock works correctly.
